The Deer Park Tennis Club will be holding a club working bee this coming SATURDAY 16th NOVEMBER, 2024 @ 1PM SHARP to prepare the facilities for the busy summer holiday period.

We require ALL of our members to attend which will make light work for everybody involved.

REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR WORKERS! So call your family members, team members and let's all get stuck in!!

Please bring with you gloves and any equipment you have to help with general clean up works, weeding and anything else you can see that we need to do to give our club a well earned LIFT for a super summer of tennis!

Please don't leave it to the same people!!

If you can't make it on the day, then please spend 20 minutes of your next visit to pull out some weeds, wash the club house windows or pick up some rubbish.

We all want to feel proud of our facility! So let's clean it up.

The executive committee of the Deer Park Tennis Club Inc. hereby declare that the 2023/24 Annual General Meeting of the club will be held on Tuesday 6th August, 2024 from 7.00pm at our Sassella Park clubhouse.

At this meeting we will discuss the activities of the club for the 2023/24 club financial year ending 31st March, 2024. An update regarding the club's current position and exciting future plans will be provided.

Dear Members,

After a year of many challenges and success stories, the committee of the Deer Park Tennis Club would like to wish all our members an enjoyable summer holiday season. If you celebrate Christmas, we wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to all in 2022.

In 2022 the committee will be aiming to bring lots of tennis opportunities to all our members via social play, competition team tennis and coaching. Gim Kurti will be offering coaching services at the club again in 2022, and you can contact Gim via https://www.hotshotstennis.com.au

There are a variety of reasons to hit the courts in 2022 and we want to ensure that our members do so in a safe environment. Please ensure that you are up to date with all the health guidelines as they can change very quickly. Please see https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au for updates.

The courts are to be shared with other members, and non financial members are required to pay court fees. Please introduce yourself to other players to make everyone feel welcome, and it's also a nice way to connect with fellow members of your club. The Brimbank City Council have this morning advised our secretary that the tennis courts at Sassella Park have Council's permission to open, in line with current Covid-19 rules and restrictions. Please refer to the Victorian Government website before you attend the facility, as rules can change.

There are strict rules, as noted in the link above, and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are up to date with these rules, especially in regards to the number people that can gather at the courts who are vaccinated or unvaccinated. Only a limited number of players can use the courts and no spectators please.

IF YOU ARE UNWELL PLEASE DO NOT USE THE COURTS AND GET TESTED FOR COVID-19.

The club has been informed that people have been accessing the courts.
Please note that the courts are still CLOSED in line with Covid-19 restrictions and you face heavy penalties if you access and use the tennis courts.
The club will need to have permission from the State Government and the Brimbank City Council have to sign off on the club's updated Covid-19 Safe Plan before you or anyone can safely access the tennis courts.
Again, you run the risk of being fined over $5,000 per person if you access the courts unlawfully.

We will officially advise all members when the courts are open and approved for use by the Brimbank City Council.

Due to the snap seven day Covid-19 lock down in Victoria from 8pm, Thursday 5th August, 2021, our Annual General meeting scheduled for Sunday 8th August, 2021 will be POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
